Selecting your general contractor is the foundation of the entire project. A great general contractor will be the difference in the job beginning, finishing and how quickly it gets done and to a high standard. When making your decision, it’s Important to know that you are not just selecting the general contractor but also their team, materials, timeline and quality. When selecting a company, it’s important to know who’s the general, why do the do what they do and who runs the show. My
name is Nicasia and I could be the one general contractor, for you.
My first experience in construction wos when I was four years old and my mother built a home in the mountains of Pennsylvania. She had the drawings done, picked the finishes, project managed and photogrophed the entire thing coming together. She was me before I was me. I was in preschool when the house was being built so I was her little buddy that got to witness the magic of new construction.
I remember the vacant lot that quickly became a fortress of wooden planks and climbing stairs that didn’t fully exist yet. I remember when I couldn’t see the inside from the outside and how it felt like looking at a castle. I remember my mother picking every finish, from the honey beveled cobinets to the marble flooring, but mostly, I remember how much it felt like home once it was all done.
There was something about being part of the process and how enjoyable my mom made it, that made the finished product feel that much more like home. That is what inspired me to become a general contractor, hoping to deliver that same experience to each and every client.
My true experience in this industry began with running my father’s countertop fabrication shop, starting at only sixteen. My fother was Joe Rosario, The Granite Guy, a former marine, my greatest mentor and my best friend. He taught me everything there is to know about a fabrication shop from the warehouse to the business. He taught me the stone, the edges and the respect you have to give in order to receive the respect you’re looking to get. He taught me how to not cut corners and how to see things through. He told me that learning was forever and the key to business was to treat each client and employee like they were your own mother, brother, sister or father.
Upon my father’s passing, I lost him and his company but gained a beautiful baby boy. My little Jojo, named after him, of course. He brought me back to life and reinspired me. And even though I would’ve loved to spend every day with him, I knew my time in this industry wasn’t over. I became “The Granite Girl,” in loving memory of, “The Granite Guy.” selling countertops and subbing out the fabrication. Countertops turned into cabinets and then flooring. Soon enough, I partnered with a general contractor learning the ins and outs of full remodeling and custom building.
I spent years working with different general contractors, seeing how things work and how they don’t and this is truly what inspired me to finally become my own general contractor, taking pieces of everything I’ve learned to create the ultimate construction company. One designed to simplify the building and remodeling process, catering to the homeowner from beginning to end. Educating you along the way and taking your fear of building and home remodeling and turn it into and educational and enjoyable one, just like i remember. I spent years building The One Building Company that would be the one building company for you. I am Nicasia Terramoccla and I would love to be the one general contractor for you.
A client once asked me something that stuck with me. She said, “You hear all of these terrible stories about things going wrong during the remodel .. How do you go about preventing or dealing with these kinds of things?”
She asked me this while we were sitting together at my showroom, three weeks into preparing the project. I had gone to her new condo three times and it was her second visit to the showroom. I had gone out for the in-home estimate and composed a design and proposal. She came to the showroom where we reviewed both and completed the material selection, walking her through her material options. I did a final measure and met the subs for the final assessments where I then drew up a twelve page Game Plan for the project. Highlighting each trade and every step of the process in chronological and trade order. The Game Plan in which I was holding when she asked me this question. So I looked down at my hands and smiled. “This.” I said as I handed The Game Plan to her. “This is the difference.”
The difference is in the preparation and having at least one person committed to the project from beginning to end. Having someone with enough experience to make certain predictions, writing out their entire plan in chronological order, cross referencing material delivery dates BEFORE the project begins. When those things don’t happen, that’s when you get change orders and delays. I invest my time, my mind and my heart into each and every project. I take the time to break it down and put it back together, in writing for you to follow along, I am the one person that is going to see the project through from beginning to end. So I guess, I am also the difference.
Just like my mother always taught us, the three most important things in any relationship, whether business or personal, is trust, respect and communication.

Being a general contractor I spend a lot of time in other people’s homes, so I always think it’s important for you to know a little bit about mine.
My love for this industry backtracks to when I was four years old and my mother built a home in the mountains of Pennsylvania, overlooking the others. She had the drawings done and project managed the entire thing coming together while working in and out of the city and raising three girls. I remember the vacant lot that quickly became a fortress of wooden planks and climbing stairs that didn’t fully exist yet. I remember when I couldn’t see the inside from the outside anymore and how it felt like looking at a castle. I remember my mother picking every finish, from the honey beveled cabinets to the marble flooring, but mostly, I remember how much it felt like horne once it was all done. There’s something about being a part of the building and remodeling process that makes the finished product feel that much more like home. That is why I do what I do. I love delivering that same feeling to others and watching them light up when they finally see their home and dreams come together, the same way I remember.
Although that house embedded the love for construction in my bones, my true experience in this industry began with running my father’s countertop fabrication shop, Millennium Granite & Marble, starting at only sixteen years old. My father is Joe Rosario, The Granite Guy. A former marine and my greatest mentor. He taught me how to not cut corners, how to see things through, how to delegate and then follow up. He taught me that learning was an everyday thing and if we stopped learning, we stopped growing. The most important thing that
he taught me was not only to treat each client like they were your own
mother, brother, sister or father but to treat each one like they were your
only one.
Upon his passing, I lost his company but gained my beautiful baby boy,
Jojo, named after him. He became my why and my driving force and even though I would’ve loved to spend every day with him, I knew my time in this industry wasn’t over. I wanted to show my child what a strong woman could do and my father that his memory will live on, so I started my own countertop sale company. I became The Granite Girl, in loving memory of Joe, The Granite Guy. I quickly expanded to cabinetry and then flooring and by that time was partnering with a general contractor who taught me the rest. I learned the ins and outs of custom builds and home renovations. I did the sales, the designs, ran the projects, ran the office and built the showroom. In running each project first hand, I realized that having one person completely dedicated to the project was the key to the projects starting verses finishing. Combine that with strategic preparation and coordination, you would get nothing but a beautiful and seamless delivery.
This is what inspired me to become my own general contractor. To take
pieces of everything I’ve learned and create the ultimate construction
company. One designed to cater to the homeowner from beginning to
end, educating you along the way and taking your fear of a home
renovation and turning it into an educational and enjoyable one. The One Building Company that would be the One Building Company unlike all the rest. The One Building Company that would be the One Building company for you. I am Nicasia Terramoccia and I would love to be the One General Contractor for you.
A client once asked me something that stuck with me. She said, “You hear all of these terrible stories about things going wrong during renovations.. How do you go about preventing or dealing with these kinds of things?”
